Inconvenienced Electrons

I like the new XBox 360 OS and GUI. The party system still is a little funny with Gears of War 2 (we lose voice connect.) But I do like that the avatars can get together and do the wave and other gestures. I have linked to a picture of my avatar here:

Don’t use Parallels 4.0 with Boot Camp. I bought the upgrade from Parallels 3 to 4.0. Unfortunately, Parallels seems to have broken my Windows NTFS volume. I am running chkdks /r from my Windows XP bootdisk, but it seems to be going poorly.

My parents bought me a new digital camera as an early birthday present. I have posted my first photos and my first timelapes video.

I updated the sites template. I am pretty sure I am still standards compliant b/c it still looks ok using Lynx, Links, Treo’s browser, and Safari.

Sorry about the on-going certificate problems. I have given up trying to get the Go Daddy Cert to work. I have also backed out all the changes I made to wordpress, so now there shouldn’t be any security warnings.

Please comment to this post if anyone sees any certificate security warnings (and what page caused them.)

I tried to fix the SSL cert again. And it looks like the problem is that my Mac server doesn’t seem accept imported intermediate certificates. Apparently this was quite easy with older Mac servers, but Leopard insists that the cert path is broken. Also the gui front-end for Apache doesn’t allow me to set the necessary fields.

Anyway, I am not quite sure how I am going to fix this. I am considering discontinuing using the Leopard supplied apache server. Instead I can compile one from scratch using the Apache source.

Everyone should update your bookmarks to wolfscall.com. I am still trying to get https://secure.wolfscall.com to work. Go Daddy’s SSL certificate engine is horrible. I strongly recommend spending a little more and getting a cert vendor with real tech support.

I was trying to download some new Halo 3 maps. Unfortunately, Bungie appears to be tired (and full of Hegemony).
