Parallels 4.0

Posted: November 11th, 2008 under Uncategorized. 6 views

Don’t use Parallels 4.0 with Boot Camp. I bought the upgrade from Parallels 3 to 4.0. Unfortunately, Parallels seems to have broken my Windows NTFS volume. I am running chkdks /r from my Windows XP bootdisk, but it seems to be going poorly.

  1. It took a few days, but I was able to repair the NTFS damage. I was also able to restore the Windows XP system files deleted by Parallels 4.0.

Then I needed to apply the fixes described here http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=31374
